Places to Visit - Silloth

Situated on the Solway Coast just a 20 minute drive away from us, with plenty of parking, even for Motorhomes. This Victorian seaside town offers stunning views across the Solway Firth to Scotland. With gorgeous sunsets and plenty to do, it is a firm family favourite!

Head to Silloth Green, enjoy the flat open space, perfect for a picnic, walking the dog or kicking a ball around. You will find two exciting playparks; a pirate ship themed one for the younger kids and hidden away in the trees, a larger wooden one. Bike riders can make use of the BMX track. PLUS there’s even a splash pad for those hot summer days! During the Summer months you will often find events and festivals taking place on the Green.

  • No seaside visit would be complete without a play in the Arcades, Fish & Chips and a delicious ice cream from Davidsons
  • Raining? Visit the Silloth Motorcycle Museum, The Solway Coast Discovery Centre or the Soldiers In Silloth Museum
  • You will find plenty of places to eat & drink, our favourite is The Fairy Dust Emporium!
  • Fancy a walk? Take a stroll along the promenade or the beach. Or fancy going a bit futher, walk to Grune Point from the Solway Coast Discovery Centre, an easy circular walk, 5 miles in total
  • Silloth West beach is a long sandy beach which is perfect for a stroll or a fun family day out. Parking is available behind the docks and dogs are welcome on the beach
  • The area is also known for its rich wildlife, a great place to birdwatch. In Winter a wide variety of migrant birds visit the salt marshes
